Best Hiking Trails at Zion National Park:
- Riverside Walk- This is an easy trail to hike with lots of trees and other beautiful scenery.
- Emerald Pool Trail- This is one of the most family friendly trails in the park. You can hike over rocks and go around three pools with streams and small waterfalls. There are places to stop and sit in the shade to eat lunch or rest awhile.
- Hidden Canyon- You’ll see secluded hanging canyons situated up above the main canyons with sections of rocks scattered about on this trail.
- Canyon Overlook Trails- This is one of the longest trails that leads to some of the most spectacular scenery you’ll ever have the pleasure of seeing.
- Angles Landing- This is one of the more serious trails because it’s one of the most dangerous. It’s not recommended for anyone who is afraid of heights or for children. However, if you take your time and follow the safety rules of hiking, it offers some of the most stunning views you could ever imagine.
- Weeping Rock- On this trail you hike to an area of the park where the wall appears to be crying due to the water seeping out of it, which is where it got its name.
- Observation Point- If you’re up to the long hike and physical fit, this would be an excellent trail that will take all day. It’s not suited for small children but for those you do choose this trail, the view will be well worth the effort.
- The Narrows- This trail takes you through lots of water so wear a good pair of shoes that can get wet. Don’t take this trail without checking with the ranger station because it’s prone to flooding during certain seasons.
Before heading out on your hiking trail at Zion National Park make sure you’re dressed properly. Wear comfortable clothing that fit well and comfortable shoes. Take along some accessories to make your hike more enjoyable. These include a hat, some snacks, plenty of water and a hiking stick. Always follow the safety rules and stay on the marked trails.
